In A-level Photography Harry is an enthusiastic student who has worked hard over the two years of his photography A level, working to consistently high level, achieving work of a very good standard.  He has good practical skills in Photoshop and he is able to use a discerning eye in applying the technology sensitively to create highly individual outcomes. This is especially true of his current assignment where he explores a range of narratives.  Harry is prepared to look beyond the specification of the course and has developed an individual style in interpreting the set briefs.
He is highly motivated and has the desire to succeed in this subject and in the future within a creative environment. He is able to articulate his ideas within a group discussion effectively and has an excellent record of consistently meeting deadlines.  He has good skills of organisation and has been able to prioritise his time between subjects very well.  Harry is keen to succeed at a high level and is focused on progressing into higher education where he can expand his knowledge and progress with his passion for the subject.

For BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Creative media Production, Harry has proved to be a talented student who has demonstrated an ability in every aspect of this course and who is consistently improving.  He shows a good analytical ability in the more theoretical side of the course, able to identify and establish the relevant codes and conventions of whichever medium he is working with.  He shows a methodical approach to the administrative tasks, such as risk assessments.  Harry works well in his production group, demonstrating an ability to work alongside a range of peers.  He is able at creating ideas for his productions, at planning, filming and editing and at communication skills with the relevant parties along the way.  He has produced productions in a variety of contexts throughout the course: TV advert, documentary, animation, corporate video, and is currently working on a music video for a local artist. Harry often assists at Open evenings and is always an enthusiastic volunteer.   I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending harry in the warmest possible terms.  I predict he will obtain a Distinction / Distinction grade.
